Is a small
fishing village that offers a

specialising in fresh fish and
Canarian cuisine. Don't worry
if you can't understand the
menu, you can go & select your

El Medano: |
For those who enjoy windsurfing
and other water sports.
There are lovely sandy beaches,
and it is particularly suitable
for long walks along the coast.
Remember that this area can be
very windy and the current
strong in the sea.

Guimar: |
The home of the Pyramids,
discovered by the Norwegian
scientist Thor Heyerdhal. |
|
Candelaria: |
The old fishing village, you can
visit the Basilica where the
Black Madonna is and the bronze
statues of the Guanches Prices,
the first inhabitants of
Tenerife. |

Continente: |
This is our new shopping centre,
for those who want to shop for
more than souvenirs. There is
also a very large hypermarket
for a wide range of goods.

Santa Cruz: |
Which is the capital of the
island, a modern city with
interesting historic sites.
Ideal for shopping it also has
large museums, and art
exhibitions. There are also
very pretty squares and parks
where you can see beautiful
examples of the local flora.
Also just 10 minutes away is the
golden sandy beach of Las
Teresitas. |

Anaga: |
It is a protected area where you
will find the Laurisilva plant,
which is only found in the
Canary Islands, Madeira, Azores
and Cabo Verde. |

La
Laguna: |
It is the University city and
has the oldest heritage in
Tenerife, with numerous
interesting churches and
monasteries. You can also find
here the Natural History Museum
housed in the 16th century "Casa
Lercaro" with a guided visit
through La Laguna. |

Tacoronte: |
These towns are
agricultural areas specially
known for wine production. In
Tacoronte and La Matanza you
will find lovely markets where
the farmers sell their excellent
products. In EI Sauzal there is
a wine museum called "La Baranda"
where you can taste the Canarian
wines. This coast line has some
wonderful views, make sure you
take your camera! |

La Orotava: |
Is one of the oldest villages in
Tenerife with many wonderful
buildings, such as "La Casa de
Los Balcones" with a handcraft
school. Do not forget to visit
the square with is adorned in
Corpus Cristi with flowers and
volcanic sand. |

Puerto de la Cruz:
|
Visit the natural swimming
pools, stroll around the
Botanical Gardens, visit the
many shops and restaurants or
indeed the Loro Parque.

Icod de los Vinos: |
Icod is famous
for the oldest Dragon tree on
the Island, although no exact
record is known, the locals
believe the tree to be between
2,500 & 3,000 years old! There
is also a butterfly zoo, a
tropical garden where exotic
species of butterflies fly in
total freedom. |

Garachico: |
During the 16th & 17th Century
this was a very wealthy
commercial port, but was
destroyed by the volcanic
eruption of 1706. The San
Francisco Monastry now houses
the city council. Here you can
also find natural swimming
pools. |

Punta de Teno & Masca:
|
Teno is a natural area very will
preserved, here you will see the
contact between the forest and
numerous banana plantations and
stark lava fields, with an
impressive variety of colours
and shapes. Maasca is a tiny
village situated 600m above sea
level and is surrounded by
enormous gullies. |

Los Gigantes: |
You will find a very special
landscape, the best way to view
these big cliffs is from the
harbour or even on a boar, as
many of the Whale and Dolphin
trips leave from here.

Peurto Santiago: |
A black sandy beach, with many
restaurants specializing in
fresh fish and Canarian cuisine. |
|
Los Cristianos: |
The old village, which due to
its excellent climate has
developed into a tourist
centre. With a lovely harbour
and pedestrian shopping centre
and also plenty of restaurants
and nightlife. |

Las Galletas: |
This is also a small fishing
village, where early in the
morning the fresh fish can be
purchased from the harbour.
Scuba diving centres can also be
found here, and is close to the
old tourist centres of Costa del
Silencio and Tenbel. |

Parque Nacional del Teide:
|
Is
the highest point in the
national geography. In the park
is a visitors centre, a cable
car where weather permitting you
can reach the higher points of
the mountain. On a clear day
you can see the rest of the
Canary Islands. |

Vilaflor: |
Is
the highest village in Spanish
territory 1400m above sea
level. Stop and look at the
local craft shops and enjoy the
views. |

Adeje: |
Home of "el Barranco del
infierno" (the gully of hell !)
A beautiful walk but not for
those of us who are a little
unfit! The walk leads to
beautiful waterfalls. Adeje is
also famous for its secret
chicken recipe copied around the
island, but why not try the real
thing. |

Las Americas: |
Which is the main tourist centre
of the island, it offers a wide
range of restaurant and shopping
centres, with a very lively
nightlife. There are also lots
of beaches where apart from
sunbathing and relaxing you can
enjoy the various water sports
on offer. |
