Reception staff from left to right: Janet (our PR), Alejandro (our porter), Javier (Head of Reception), Esther, Sandrine, Clara and Dagmara

Los Abrigos: Is a small fishing village that offers a wide variety of restaurants, specialising in fresh fish and Canarian cuisine.  Don't worry if you can't understand the menu, you can go & select your meal in the kitchen!
El Medano:

For those who enjoy windsurfing and other water sports.  There are lovely sandy beaches, and it is particularly suitable for long walks along the coast.  Remember that this area can be very windy and the current strong in the sea.

Guimar: The home of the Pyramids, discovered by the Norwegian scientist Thor Heyerdhal.
Candelaria: The old fishing village, you can visit the Basilica where the Black Madonna is and the bronze statues of the Guanches Prices, the first inhabitants of Tenerife.
Continente: This is our new shopping centre, for those who want to shop for more than souvenirs.  There is also a very large hypermarket for a wide range of goods.
Santa Cruz: Which is the capital of the island, a modern city with interesting historic sites.  Ideal for shopping it also has large museums, and art exhibitions.  There are also very pretty squares and parks where you can see beautiful examples of the local flora.  Also just 10 minutes away is the golden sandy beach of Las Teresitas.
Anaga: It is a protected area where you will find the Laurisilva plant, which is only found in the Canary Islands, Madeira, Azores and Cabo Verde.
La Laguna: It is the University city and has the oldest heritage in Tenerife, with numerous interesting churches and monasteries.  You can also find here the Natural History Museum housed in the 16th century "Casa Lercaro" with a guided visit through La Laguna.
Tacoronte:  These towns are agricultural areas specially known for wine production.  In Tacoronte and La Matanza you will find lovely markets where the farmers sell their excellent products.  In EI Sauzal there is a wine museum called "La Baranda" where you can taste the Canarian wines.  This coast line has some wonderful views, make sure you take your camera!
La Orotava: Is one of the oldest villages in Tenerife with many wonderful buildings, such as "La Casa de Los Balcones" with a handcraft school.  Do not forget to visit the square with is adorned in Corpus Cristi with flowers and volcanic sand.
Puerto de la Cruz: Visit the natural swimming pools, stroll around the Botanical Gardens, visit the many shops and restaurants or indeed the Loro Parque.
Icod de los Vinos: Icod is famous for the oldest Dragon tree on the Island, although no exact record is known, the locals believe the tree to be between 2,500 & 3,000 years old!  There is also a butterfly zoo, a tropical garden where exotic species of butterflies fly in total freedom.
Garachico: During the 16th & 17th Century this was a very wealthy commercial port, but was destroyed by the volcanic eruption of 1706.  The San Francisco Monastry now houses the city council.  Here you can also find natural swimming pools.
Punta de Teno & Masca: Teno is a natural area very will preserved, here you will see the contact between the forest and numerous banana plantations and stark lava fields, with an impressive variety of colours and shapes.  Maasca is a tiny village situated 600m above sea level and is surrounded by enormous gullies.
Los Gigantes: You will find a very special landscape, the best way to view these big cliffs is from the harbour or even on a boar, as many of the Whale and Dolphin trips leave from here.
Peurto Santiago: A black sandy beach, with many restaurants specializing in fresh fish and Canarian cuisine.
